Job description

We are recruiting a secretary for an established independent school based in beautiful offices in South West London. This secretary will be working as part of a fantastic admin team responsible for the administrative paperwork for senior members of staff, processing student enrolment applications, correspondence and general administration. £24K

Hours of work: Term time hours are normally 8.30am-5pm, 9.00am-5.30pm or 10am-6.30pm.

Secretary duties and responsibilities:

· Responsible for the administrative paperwork for senior members of staff including student reports, typing letters, filing, diary management, maintenance of student files, providing administrative support as required
· Providing administrative support to Registry
· Processing of student enrolment forms
· Logging payments of tuition fees
· Answering telephone calls and fielding to appropriate staff member
· Handling student enquiries
· Room checks throughout the building to check on student attendance
· Greeting visitors and welcoming them to the school, making them refreshments and giving short tours of the building
· Sorting out the post and distributing it to the staff room
· Checking the stationery stock and ordering as and when required
· Printing absence letters and sending them off at the end of the day
· Answering and dealing with all internet/web enquiries and those from outside organisations
