Job description

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES FOR EVENTS MANAGER:

Deliver and enhance our pan-European events and programmes, working closely with the Senior Events Manager and the VP of Events and Education Europe,

  • Plan and deliver high quality regional events, e.g. conferences, award ceremonies and retreats,
  • Lead on programming of our virtual webinars, report launches, site tours, round tables etc,
  • Collaborate and co-ordinate with members, colleagues and speakers to develop compelling content for our programmes,
  • Manage project budgets and plans and prepare status reports,
  • Collaborate with marketing and corporate sponsorship teams to promote events, awards and education programmes,
  • Oversee delegation of logistics to the Senior Events Associate to ensure work completed successfully and on time.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in events and conference management
  • Proven track record developing content and programmes, ideally in real estate sector
  • Measurable success in the management of large conferences, networking events, and other events for executive-level groups.
  • Recent experience developing virtual webinars on Zoom

SKILLS:

  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Preference to manage multiple projects simultaneously, quick learner, adaptable and able to think on their feet.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to initiate and assume ownership for tasks.
  • Confident and professional communication and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to impress and influence senior leaders in an international fast paced environment
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office, (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Zoom.
  • Desirable - interest in and experience of the real estate sector
  • Desirable - experience working with or for a not-for-profit / member organisation


EDUCATION:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to travel occasionally within Europe and to work occasionally in the evenings and weekends according to the event schedules.
